Ta Loi 3 Hydropower Plant
Ta Loi 3 Hydropower Plant is invested by Infrastructure Investment and Transportation Construction Joint Stock Company (Intracom). The project is built in Muong Hum Commune and Trung Leng Ho Commune, Bat Xat District, Lao Cai Province, with a capacity of 7.5 MW and an investment capital of VND 176 billion.
Its construction started in March 2010 and is completed in November 2012. The main items of the project include: water channels, regulating reservoir, dams, bridges, culverts, etc.
In order to generate power to the National Power Grid, Intracom constructed 5.7km of 110kV line from Nam Pung 110kV Station to 110kV Muong Hum Station. In November 2012, both two engine units were successfully connected to 110kV grids, annually adding about 30 million kWh to the National Power Grid, serving the electricity needs of people in Lao Cai Province in particular and in Northern mountainous provinces in general.
Currently, the plant is operating and providing electricity stably, maintaining flow and ensuring good water sources for local production.
