When asked about the current state of food in Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Viet answered that Vietnam’s agriculture was very potential and required the recognition and sympathy from many parties: the state, enterprises, producers and consumers. However, the parties have not developed it properly in accordance with the potentials. The state should have appropriate policies, apply new technologies and learn experience from developed countries to eliminate unnecessary waste. Farmers need to produce clean food, helping themselves and the community while affirming the brand of the Vietnamese food industry. The agriculture and food industry needs big businesses and small businesses and start-ups as well to help and support each other.
