According to the proposal, the Intracom – Quang Tri offshore wind power plant project has a capacity of 1,000 MW, a research area of 22,000 hectares, an area occupied by sea surface for a limited time (arrangement of turbines) 350 hectares, an usable area of 22,000 hectares. use temporary land 5 ha. It is expected that when this project is completed, it will produce more than 4 million MWh of electricity per year. The total estimated investment of the project is about 72,000 billion VND, of which the owner’s equity is about 22,000 billion VND.
The investor proposes 2 connection options for the Intracom – Quang Tri offshore wind power plant project. Option 1 is the forward connection on the 500kV Vung Ang transmission line to Da Nang; Option 2 is the forward connection on the 500kV Quang Trach to Doc Soi transmission line. In which, priority is given to option 1 because it ensures the release of the entire project capacity and increases the direct power supply to the area with large loads, which is Vung Ang Economic Center.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ha Sy Dong emphasized that this is an important project, contributing to the maximum exploitation of the potential and advantages of the local renewable energy source. In the immediate future, the Department of Industry and Trade is assigned to lead and guide investors to complete the dossier to ensure full conditions for the Provincial People’s Committee to submit to the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade to include the project in the Power Plan VIII in a timely manner. At the same time, investors are requested to make efforts together with the province to complete the procedures, determined to successfully implement the project.
