The program is organized by People’s Deputies Newspaper – National Assembly’s Office, with the companionship of Intracom, Hanoi Heart Hospital, Child Protection Fund of Hoa Binh Province and some other sponsors.

Kindergarten – Primary – Lower Secondary School in Tan Mai Commune is located on a steep hillside, close to the Ba Khan Lake (Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant’s reservoir). Nearly all students here come from especially difficult families. Many students wear the only old clothes to school. For families in this commune 135, it is very difficult to earn a living, but the learning spirit of the students here is not affected.  Kindergarten – Primary – Lower Secondary School in Tan Mai Commune is a rare school in a particularly difficult area where teachers do not have to go to every house to mobilize students to go to school. The desire to change life is a great motivation for every student here to overcome difficulties.

Due to the topographic characteristics, Kindergarten – Primary – Lower Secondary School in Tan Mai Commune is specially designed. Each block of classes is built in the form of a terrace, following the slope of the hill. Here, the playground is a very luxurious thing and a small school yard is the result of a great effort of the teachers and local authorities.

Teacher Mai Duc Duy, Principal of Tan Mai Lower Secondary School said: “Due to the special location of the school, during the construction, all materials and machines must be transported by waterway. Moreover, in order to get the space, we have to renovate the hill. Therefore, the cost of building a block of classrooms is twice or three times as much as the cost of building other schools”.

Understanding the difficulties of teachers and students here, the program “Red heart for you, Lovely and Shared New Year 2019” is organized to partly share such difficulties.

At the program, Intracom supports VND 30 million. Total support for the program includes VND 90 million in cash and many other practical gifts such as: blankets, warm coats, lockers, learning equipemnt, etc. Although the supporting value is small, it is of great spiritual meaning for teachers and young children, encouraging them to overcome circumstances and feel assured for learning.

After giving gifts to the children, the program organizes the heart disease screening for free for the children by doctors of Hanoi Heart Hospital. Thereby, some students with cardiovascular abnormalities are promptly detected and instructed in detail for later treatment.

The program “Red heart for you, Lovely and Shared New Year 2019” ends successfully with the simple-hearted and cheerful smiles of the future generations of the country and the appreciation of the teachers here.
