Ngoi Nhu 1A Hydropower Project, invested by Intracom, is in the hydroelectric plan of Lao Cai province approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Decision No. 4641 / QD-BCT dated December 14th, 2018.

Ngoi Nhu 1A Hydropower is an open project, located in Suoi Nhu in the territory of Chieng Ken commune, Van Ban district, Lao Cai province. The project is invested by Intracom with a total capital of 251,398 billion VND with a capacity of 6MW, an area of 41.42ha including 2 units of machines and auxiliary works. The project is expected to start construction in the third quarter of 2020 and be completed and put into electricity generation in the fourth quarter of 2022. After completing and joining the national electric grid, the project will provide an average power output of 21.22 million kWh / year.

On July 23th, Intracom and BIDV Bank My Dinh branch held the signing ceremony of a credit contract to sponsor the Ngoi Nhut 1A Hydropower project, which worths VND 149,808 billion, equivalent to 65% of the total investment of the project.

Intracom is a multi-sector investment enterprise, in which energy investment is a major sector. For nearly 20 years, Intracom has been investing in 10 hydroelectric projects in many areas. In which, there are 4 hydropower factories in stable operation, including Cam Thuy 1 hydropower (in Thanh Hoa); Nam Pung Hydropower, Ta Loi 2 Hydropower, Ta Loi 3 Hydropower (in Lao Cai). Six other hydropower projects are being built by Intracom with different progress in the provinces of Lao Cai, Lai Chau, and Son La. When completed, the works will be connected to the grid, contributing to national energy stability, at the same time contributing to infrastructure consolidation, economic development in the project areas, and support for irrigation in the dry season and preventing flood for the downstream area in the rainy season.
